Privacy, in plain english.

Effective 2026-08-28. Busy Season Local, NY. [email protected]

What I collect, and why

When you request a free snapshot or contact me, I collect what you type: your business name, town, and email. It is used to run your visibility report, send it to you, and follow up like a person would. That is the whole purpose.

The site measures its own performance with first-party analytics: which pages get visited, what gets clicked, and how long pages are read. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no third-party ad trackers. A random, anonymous session id lives in your browser only for the visit. Cloudflare also provides aggregate, privacy-preserving performance analytics.

If you subscribe to a paid service, payment runs entirely through Stripe. Card numbers never touch my systems and I never see them. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment itself.

Email happens through Google Workspace. If you reply to me, your reply sits in my inbox like any normal correspondence.

What never happens

Your data is never sold, rented, or traded. No marketing lists leave this business. No third party gets your information except the processors named above (Stripe for payments, Google for email, Cloudflare for hosting and analytics), each doing only its job.

Reports about your business

Visibility reports are built from public information: your Google listing, public reviews, your public website, and what public AI assistants answer. Report links are private, unlisted URLs shared only with you.

Connecting your Google Business Profile

If you ask me to manage your reviews, you add me as a manager on your Google Business Profile, or you approve a Google sign-in screen named Busy Season Local Reviews. Either way you stay the owner and you can remove me in a minute.

That access lets me read one thing and write one thing. I read your profile's reviews, ratings and location details. I write replies to reviews, and only ones you have approved or asked me to send. Nothing else on your Google account is touched, and I cannot see your Gmail, Drive, contacts or ads.

Reviews I fetch are stored on my server so your website can display them without calling Google on every page load. They are your own reviews and they are already public on your listing. They are never sold, never shared with another client, never added to a marketing list, and never used to train an AI model. If you leave, I delete them.

Busy Season Local's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

To cut off access yourself at any time, remove me as a manager in your Business Profile, or revoke the app at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Email [email protected] and I will delete the stored copy too.

Your choices

Want your data deleted, corrected, or exported? Email [email protected] and it happens, usually same day. Every marketing email carries a working way to stop further email, and STOP always works by reply.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. No silent edits.
