We measured your whole line of work, not just our clients
Most local marketing companies will tell you what they would do for you. We would rather show you what your competition actually looks like first, because the gap is usually somewhere nobody expects. 11 lines of work in Nassau County, 1979 businesses, one sweep each across eight towns, every count with its date and its source. Find yours below.
The eleven lines of work measured so far
Each page publishes what that sweep found, including what it could not measure. The share beside each one is how much of the category never appears in Google's results for the best business of its kind in its own town. Every sweep here was read sixty results deep, so the shares compare with each other directly.
Plumbers
13 publish no hours at all, in a trade people search at midnight.
HVAC
6 send callers to a website link that will not load.
Electricians
8 reviews is the middle of this trade, and 20 have none of their hours on Google.
Roofers
Every one of them publishes its hours. 64 have under twenty five reviews.
Auto repair
A median of 107 reviews, the most of nine trades, and 47 percent still missing from their own town's list.
Landscapers
37 of 81 never appear in the first sixty for their own town.
Contractors
56 hold a perfect five on fewer than ten reviews, which reads as no evidence.
Salons
265 salons across eight towns, and 98 are under fifty reviews.
Med spas
On a listing customers choose by looking, 45 carry fewer than ten photos.
Restaurants
465 reviews is the middle of this category and the median rating is 4.4, the lowest of any Nassau line of work measured.
Dentists
116 of 326 sit on a flat five, and 177 show fewer than ten photos.
Questions with a measured answer
The three things owners ask most, answered from the same sweeps rather than from opinion. Each page states its answer in the first paragraph and shows the counts underneath.
How many Google reviews do I need?
Ten first, then your own category median, which ranges from 8 reviews for electricians to 465 for restaurants.
Why am I not showing up on Google Maps?
Almost never the rating. Between 16 and 55 percent of each of the nine trades we measured never comes back for its own town, read sixty results deep.
Do I need a website if I have a Google listing?
Yes, and the more urgent question is whether the one already linked opens at all.
If your line of work is not here yet
It means we have not swept it, not that it is fine
A line of work appears on this page when a real sweep of at least forty businesses exists for it. Until then we have nothing honest to publish, so we publish nothing.
A single business can still be measured today
The free snapshot does not need a category sweep behind it. It measures your listing, your site and your rivals whatever line of work you are in.
Ask and it moves up the queue
Sweeps are cheap to run and we choose which line of work is next partly by who asks. If yours is missing, say so on the contact form.
The measurement is the same either way
Same five signals, same sources, same rule that anything we could not measure is reported as unknown rather than as a zero.
Common questions
- Do you only work with these kinds of business?
- No. These are the categories we have swept and can publish real counts for. The work itself is the same for any local business that gets found and booked through search, and the free snapshot works whatever you do.
- Where do these numbers come from?
- One sweep per line of work, each across eight Nassau towns, run in September 2026. Every figure on every page is rendered from a stored run at build time, so a stale sweep expires the page rather than quietly surviving in it.
- Why Nassau County and not all of Long Island?
- Because that is where the sweeps have actually run. We serve NYC and Long Island, and we are not going to describe Suffolk from Nassau data. When a Suffolk sweep exists it will say Suffolk on it.
- My competitor is on one of these lists. Will you tell them about me?
- No. None of these pages names a single business. They publish counts by category and town, and the named detail only ever goes to the owner it describes.
- How often are these re-measured?
- Each claim carries an expiry date. When a sweep passes it the number stops rendering and the page fails its build rather than showing you something from last season.
